It can be terrifying if someone you love has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The feeling of helplessness, of being out of control and the pain of seeing someone you love slowly disappearing before your own very eyes can leave you wondering how you will cope – and whether you are up to it.
There is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, therefore until there is you need to understand what will be asked of you in order to cope and manage along the road ahead.
What can you do about it?
If you’re ready to take positive action you will need to remain open and learn how to:
- Ask the right questions of medical experts and health care professionals.
- Understand what works and what does not work.
- Be proactive so that the outcomes make life richer for you and your family.
