Are YOU worried about someone’s memory?

If Alzheimer’s is changing your life …

It can be terrifying if someone you love has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.  The feeling of helplessness, of being out of control and the pain of seeing someone you love slowly disappearing can leave you wondering how you will cope – and whether you are up to it.

Reg was my father and he had Alzheimer’s.  I learned the hard way – but discovered some very effective strategies to improve the quality of life of my father and everyone who loved him.  I can’t change the destination for you, but I can make the journey better for you.

What is Alzheimer’s disease?

It’s the most common cause of Dementia, a term used to describe the symptoms that occur when the brain and memory are affected.

Alzheimer’s affects memory, thinking, behaviour and slowly reduces the individual’s ability to carry out any simple activities.  It’s progressive and degenerative and age is a big factor in the onset of it.

What can you do about it?

If you’re ready to take positive action you can learn how to:

  • Ask the right questions of medical experts and health care professionals.
  • Understand what works and what doesn’t
  • Take action at each stage so you manage things better – for all of you.
  • How to be proactive so the outcomes make life richer for you and your family

You don’t have to be at the mercy of this disease; you can learn how to cope – not just struggle to get through every day.  You can use the strategies that I found made a big difference to me and to Reg.
